When you’re at loss for words, God hears your silence.

When you’re at loss for words, God hears your silence.

I find comfort in this in times of anguish. It’s important to focus your thoughts on Jesus in times of pain and confusion because the first thought the enemy puts in your mind is that God’s not there with you. This of course is not true. Deuteronomy 31:8 says The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Psalm 34:18 says The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Isn’t it amazing? I’ve come to experience that there is nothing more dependable than the Word of God. If He has promised to save you, He will. All you need it a little faith on your end. I love how Kathryn Kuhlman says, “I’m not a woman with great faith – I am a woman with a little faith in a Great God!”

Some times when my pain is too much to put in words, I simply say “Lord, you know.” I feel it’s just important to sit in prayer with God. We don’t have to talk and lay our problems before Him like a carpet. I believe coming before Him in times of confusion and distress shows that our faith is still in Him. You’ve all heard the phrase ‘Actions speak louder than words’ and I strongly believe it’s the same with prayer.

So be encouraged today. I’m also still learning and thought I’d share this with you. Don’t ever let Satan uproot the Word of God from your heart. Believe and trust in Him who died for you. He loved you when you were away from Him and He loves you even today so choose to trust in His Word despite the odds. Jesus said in Matthew 19:26, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” So believe in Him.

In Mark 5 you find the incident where the daughter of one of the rulers of the synagogue was at the point of death. As Jesus was on His way to the ruler’s house a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years was healed by touching the hem of Jesus’ garment because she simply believed (A great example of having faith in Jesus. Mark 5:34 Jesus said to the woman, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”) Due to this event Jesus was slightly delayed and the news came that the girl had passed away. Some suggested that it’s no use to ask Jesus to visit because the girl had died. And I love the next part. Verse 36 says (Amplified Bible): Overhearing but ignoring what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only keep on believing [in Me and my power].” Hallelujiah! It doesn’t matter what anybody else has to say about the situation you’re in. Only keep on believing and watch how God put life into a dead situation. Just like the girl he raised from the dead (verse 41).

I also love how Jesus put everyone out of the house, those who didn’t believe when He said that the girl isn’t dead but sleeping (verse 39-40). I believe we should do the same. Everyone who tries to tell you that God can’t help you needs to be out of your life. You don’t need such people whose hearts are away from God. They can’t lead you to Him but they’ll lead you away from Him.

I hope I was able to convey this Word of encouragement to you day.

Be blessed!
